Our knowledge things is not as valuable and important as living something. We can’t just know about the Lord we need to partake of Him and experience Him! So, don’t ever get to the point where you “already know this”. Always be teachable, moldable and tender toward the Lord.

Think of Paul in scriptures, he was beaten, imprisoned, stoned and and his disciples often saw the trials he went through. I’m sure they at some point thought that he needed a break. But Paul continually would get through one trial and start preaching again! Doing the thing that got him in trouble in the first place!

How is this possible? Many probably thought he was drunk! In order to do something like he did you almost need to be. He drank so much and so deeply of the Lord that God was seeping out of him. Being drunk means to be in excess. The things you ingest or drink now have influence over you. It is possible for the Lord to overflow from the inside out, so much so that you become drunk on the Lord! 

 Be Filled by the Spirit

Ephesians 5:15-20 says “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father”

Be filled (or be drunk) with the Spirit! Think of this, you can be surrounded by bottles of water, but if you don’t partake and drink of it you will not be filled with water. You can be thirsty and dehydrated because knowledge of the water sustaining you is not the answer. You must consume it! So, throughout your day start drinking of the Lord. Be so full of Him that He influences your every moment. Become like Paul and let joy come out of you everywhere you go.
