Located in South Lubbock, we believe God has called us to establish a culture of prayer and worship. We exist to minister to the Lord by offering Him our thanksgiving by agreeing with what He has done, to worship Him by agreeing with who He is, and to intercede by agreeing with what He desires to do in our lives, cities, and earth.

At Encounter, we gather throughout the week to worship, intercede, and seek the presence of the Lord together. Whether through Sunday services or dedicated prayer sets during the week, there is always an opportunity for you and your family to encounter God and minister to Him in worship and prayer.

Yes! Encounter Kids is a place where your kids encounter the Lord in a fun, spirit-filled environment. Live worship from our adult worship team as well. If you'd like to pre-register your kids, click here!

One of the best ways to connect with Encounter is to meet us at our connect table before or after service. Located inside the front doors, we'd be glad to share some ways you can get involved, from small groups to serving teams.

At Encounter, you'll find a mix of styles, from business casual to T-shirts and shorts. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and at ease—you’re part of the family here!

The prayer room is a space for you to encounter the Lord. Through thanksgiving, worship, and intercession, we come into agreement with God. As we worship Him morning, noon, and night, our hearts are transformed to look more like Him, (2 Cor 3:18) resembling Him rightly to the rest of the world. We are convinced that worship and prayer play a fundamental role in seeing the Church equipped, empowered, and sent out.

There is no dedicated childcare available in the prayer room. Learning to pray and worship as a family unity is a strong value we encourage at Encounter. Bring some coloring books or other silent activities for your children to be creative with while spending time in the prayer room.
