The Lord is moving and speaking! Today we’re connecting to our fasting booklet and looking at Psalm 27.

Psalm 27:4-6 “One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.”

In the Bible the Lord refers to David as the man after His own heart. Here we see David’s desire was to dwell in the Lord’s house ALL the days of his life. Oh that we would live with God at all times. That we would go about our day today and tomorrow and the next according to His house. How is this possible? It starts with connecting to Him. So today, begin with praying Psalm 27. Before you get into your rhythms and routines, pursue Jesus. Then dwell in the place of His presence. Live your life FROM the place of His presence. 

There’s nothing better than simple devotion. Many times we over complicate it. Just love on the Lord today. Long to behold the beauty of the Lord and tell Him! Meditate on who He is and partake of His goodness. You never regret time spent pursuing Him.
